UGA EFNEP provides interactive educational sessions where participants try new recipes and learn how to stretch their food dollars, improve nutrition practices, and prevent food-borne illness.

EFNEP programming is delivered through the county network of UGA Extension.

What We Do

UGA EFNEP delivers interactive educational sessions where participants try new recipes and learn how to improve nutrition practices, stretch their food dollars, and prevent food-borne illness. We provide all teaching materials and recipe ingredients at no cost to our partners or participants. We only require a table and electricity. Kitchen facilities are not necessary.

UGA EFNEP programming is based on three curricula:

Food Talk is a series of eight sessions that provide information and resources for adults who are parents or caregivers of young children.

Hablemos de Comida is the Spanish translation of our Food Talk. It includes all of the same information as Food Talk, and it is delivered by bilingual educators.

Food Talk Teen is a series that targets the improvement of health behaviors among older adolescents (ages 15-18) through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
